This depends on the type of claim that you need to bring.
Worker's Compensation claims are purely administrative and no
suit is actually filed. In fact, many people don't realize this,
but
you can't even sue the employer because they are exempt from liability!
However, specific claim forms do need to be filed with the Department
of Labor with supporting documentation.
Most actual law suits are filed in Superior Court for the county
where the accident occurred. Some cases fall into the category
of Federal jurisdiction which require filing in Federal District
Court.
The location and jurisdiction of filing a claim is often a strategic
decision which is best left to your attorney.
